F O U N D E R

Vitor de Souza, founder of Pro Counselors, is driven by a lifelong passion for mental health and personal development. Born in Brazil and raised in the United States, his fascination with human behavior and emotional resilience was particularly influenced by his parents’ divorce. His desire to understand people and his own feelings led him to pursue an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Florida Atlantic University and later a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands.

During his academic journey, Vitor authored and self-published “Proceed Progress: A Young Adult’s Approach to Living a Better Life,” a book aimed at empowering young adults to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and purpose. Concurrently, he launched the “Student Counselor” podcast and Instagram community, engaging with students and licensed therapists to foster discussions about the mental health field and the life of a student therapist.

With a background in customer service, healthcare recruiting, and leadership, Vitor integrates his diverse expertise to bridge the gap between therapy and career guidance. His entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to supporting individuals in achieving their personal, academic, and career goals drive Pro Counselors’ mission of empowerment and holistic growth.
